
On 24 June 2026, Times Higher Education, a prestigious international ranking organization, announced the results of the Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026.
According to the results, Khazar University has been ranked in the 301–400 range among 1,603 higher education institutions evaluated worldwide. This result demonstrates the University’s important progress compared with the previous year, when Khazar University was placed in the 401–600 range in the same ranking in 2025.
The ranking evaluates the contribution of higher education institutions to the Sustainable Development Goals based on teaching, research, policies, governance and public engagement. Khazar University was assessed across 14 of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The University achieved one of its strongest results in SDG 4: Quality Education, where it ranked in the 101–200 range. Another outstanding achievement was recorded in SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions, with Khazar University ranking 22nd globally.
Khazar University’s improved position in the ranking confirms its growing international reputation and demonstrates the successful continuation of its activities in the areas of sustainable development, quality education, responsible governance and service to society.
