Hamlet Isakhanli, founder of Khazar University and Chairman of the Board of Directors and Trustees, has been awarded the "Friend of the Society" Honorary Certificate by the "Petroleum Geologists Society" Public Union. The certificate was presented by Elvin Ahmadov, Deputy Chairman of the Society, Head of the Oil and Gas Engineering Department at Khazar University, and Doctor of Philosophy in Earth Sciences.

During the meeting, Ahmadov noted that since 2022, Khazar University and the "Petroleum Geologists Society" Public Union have been engaged in close cooperation. This partnership has supported students in conducting research, presenting at conferences, and publishing their scientific works in the "Azerbaijan Geologist" journal, established by the Society. Khazar University has consistently shown a commitment to the Society's development, hosting conferences and office activities organized by the Society. In recognition of all this support and cooperation, the "PGS" Public Union extends its deepest gratitude to Prof. Acad. Hamlet Isakhanli, Rector Dr. Razia Isaeva, Dr. Fakhrandah Afandiyeva, and Dr. Gunel Bahaddinova.
