A concert programme dedicated to May 28 — Independence Day — has been held in the city of Lachin.

This was reported to Report news agency by the Restoration, Construction and Management Service in Lachin district.

The event was organised at the initiative of the President's Special Representation in Lachin district, and jointly arranged by the Restoration, Construction and Management Service in Lachin, Khazar University, and the Lachin Resort & Spa recreation complex.

The programme opened with a minute of silence in honoured memory of the heroic martyrs who gave their lives for the liberation of the lands and the country's territorial integrity, followed by the performance of the State Anthem.

Khazar University's dance ensemble, comprising both female and male performers, took to the stage at the concert.

As part of the programme, musical numbers from the repertoires of distinguished artists and laureates of national and international competitions were presented, alongside composers' works and folk songs.

The event continued with addresses and speeches.
