On April 1, 2016, a meeting of the “Establishment of a Foundation for the Integration of Disabled People into HEIs of Azerbaijan” (ESFIDIP) TEMPUS project was held in Khazar University’s European Union Studies Center. Dr. Hasan Niknafs, President of the University; Professor Mahammad Nuriyev, Vice President of Khazar University for Academic Affairs; Dr. Isakhan Isakhanli, Vice President for Administration and Student Affairs; Raziya Isayeva, Development Director; Lyudmila Sotova, Director of the Quality Assurance Center; Dr. Ingilab Ahmadov, Dean of the School of Economics and Management, and Deputy Dean Fuad Rasulov; Vafa Aslanova, Deputy Dean of the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences; Associate Professor Jabir Khalilov, Dean of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, and Deputy Dean Melek Karimova; Deputy Dean of the School of Education, Zarifa Aliyeva; and Rima Mammadova, coordinator of the Center for Students with Disabilities; participated in the meeting.
During the meeting, participants discussed the training event that was held at Khazar University for instructors on March 16th within the framework of the ESFIDIP project.
Meeting participants also discussed two more training seminars that have been planned for staff members and students in the near future as well as the necessary changes to facilities’ infrastructure to accommodate students with disabilities.
Then the ESFIDIP project manager and local partners (Azerbaijan State Economics University, Nakhchivan State University and Ganja State University) had a Skype meeting in which they discussed training seminars for students, faculty and staff members. Universities gave each other reports on their training events and planned future events.
