On May 14, 2026, Farrukh Mammadov, Head of GERB Group LLC and specialist at QatarEnergy LNG, shared his international experience with students of the Oil and Gas Engineering Department in the Marble Hall of Khazar University, with the support of Education and Training Services LLC. Through his lecture titled "Change Your Mindset: From Diplomas to Skills," he provided students with a comparative explanation of work experience both within the country and abroad, the application of knowledge and skills, and the relative value of diplomas versus competencies.

The seminar topic, being one of particular interest and relevance to our students, generated highly active discussion. Following the 90-minute seminar, students engaged in an interactive discussion lasting over 30 minutes. The primary objective of these seminars was to demonstrate to our students, through specific examples, the ways in which they can prepare themselves as industry professionals during their years of study.
