Second-year students of the School of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences at Khazar University visited the Institut Français d'Azerbaïdjan, operating in the city of Baku, on May 15, 2026, under the guidance of French language instructor Latafat Guliyeva. The students were welcomed by the institute with great warmth and hospitality. Jacques Bounin, Director of the French Institute, provided the students with detailed information about the institute's activities and the projects being implemented to promote the French language and culture.
As part of the visit, students became closely acquainted with the institute's extensive library, virtual library resources, as well as the operations of the Campus France representation. Campus France representatives delivered a comprehensive presentation on study opportunities in France, scholarship programs, student life, and international prospects.
Subsequently, a vibrant and engaging program prepared by Khazar University students was presented. The students' high level of proficiency demonstrated in French, their fluent communication skills and creativity were received with great interest by the staff of the French Institute. In particular, the teaching of French at Khazar University through modern and interactive methods was highly commended.
This visit is of considerable significance in terms of consolidating students' language knowledge, deepening their familiarity with French culture, as well as opening new perspectives for their future academic and professional development.
