On May 5, 2026, within the framework of the "Integrative Lesson" project of the Languages and Literatures Department, prominent literary scholar and critic Professor Akif Huseynli delivered a lecture on "Literary Criticism and the Contemporary Literary Process" at the library of Khazar University's Narimanov Campus. The lesson was opened with introductory remarks by Dilbar Zeynalova, Head of the Languages and Literatures Department and Assoc. Prof., who introduced the guest and elaborated on the relevance of the topic and the essence of the integrative lesson project. Professor Akif Huseynli delivered an extensive address on the relationship between literature and literary criticism, the aesthetics of art, and the state of literature in the age of artificial intelligence and high technology. At the end of the lesson, students majoring in Azerbaijani Language and Literature (Philology) and Azerbaijani Language and Literature Teaching posed questions to the professor on literature and literary criticism, and the topic was discussed in an interactive format. In conclusion, Professor Akif Huseynli was presented with the book "In Search of the Caspian" by Prof. Acad. Hamlet Isakhanli, Founder of Khazar University and Chairman of the Board of Directors and Trustees, along with a letter of appreciation.
