A delegation from Khazar University paid a business visit to Sabancı University, one of Türkiye's prestigious higher education institutions, on April 13, 2026.

The delegation, led by Prof. Acad. Hamlet Isakhanli, Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors and Trustees of Khazar University, included Khazar University Rector Dr. Razia Isaeva, Dean of the Graduate School of Science, Art and Technology Dr. Gunel Bahaddinova, and Dean of the School of Natural Sciences and Engineering Dr. Fakhrandah Afandiyeva. The delegation held a series of meetings at Sabancı University.

During the visit, meetings took place with Sabancı University Rector Prof. Yusuf Leblebici, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Prof. Cem Güneri, Vice-Rector for Research Prof. Mehmet Yıldız, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences Prof. Erkay Savaş, and International Relations Office Manager Evrim Güngör.

During the meetings, the parties discussed the expansion of academic cooperation, the development of student and faculty exchange programmes, as well as the implementation of joint research and innovation projects.

As part of the visit programme, the delegation also toured a number of leading research laboratories at Sabancı University, including the Mechatronics Research Laboratory, the Quantum Transport & Nano Electronics Laboratory, the Laboratory of Cell Biology and SUMO Signaling, and the Protein Chemistry and Structural Biology Laboratory.

Detailed information was provided on the scientific research conducted in these laboratories, the advanced technologies employed, and ongoing international collaboration projects. The parties exchanged views on broadening scientific cooperation and enhancing opportunities for joint research in the future.
