On February 25, 2026, Assoc. Prof. Orkhan Valiyev, Head of the Department of Political Sciences and Philosophy, was a guest on Nadia Gyane's program on the AnewZ channel on the topic "Trump`s congress address: Claims of economic and immigration success".

Assoc. Prof. Valiyev said that President Donald Trump's speech at the congress covered the economy, tariff policy, immigration and foreign policy issues. The head of the department noted that the main focus of the foreign policy part of the speech was on relations with Iran. According to him, the issue of Iran's possession of nuclear weapons remains the main problem between the two countries. Assoc. Prof. Valiyev emphasized that although the US has declared its preference for diplomatic methods in this issue, it also demonstrates its readiness for possible alternative scenarios.
