On February 11, 2026, a scientific seminar on the topic "European Union's South Caucasus Foreign Policy after the Second Karabakh War: Pragmatic and Normative Approaches" was held by Rahil Dadashli, doctoral student in "International Relations" at Khazar University's Department of Political Science and Philosophy.
The seminar discussed the strategic importance of the South Caucasus for the European Union, energy security and regional stability issues. In her presentation, Rahil Dadashli emphasized how the European Union's normative values are reconciled with pragmatic interests, namely energy security, regional stability and economic integration.
The seminar also discussed the European Union's mediation efforts, the importance of energy and transport corridors, and the role of the "Global Gateway" initiative in competition with China.
