On April 7, 2016, a roundtable discussion entitled “Plagiarism in Scientific, Academic and Literary Texts and How to Prevent it” was held at the Government House of Baku. The event was jointly coordinated by the Copyright Agency of the Azerbaijan Republic and the Ministry of Education. The roundtable covered the factors motivating plagiarism, current measures put in place to prevent it, and further possible solutions.

Dr. Mukhtar Hajizada, Head of the Department of Political Science and International Relations at Khazar University, participated in the discussion and noted the significance of the event for the current situation. He also spoke about anti-plagiarism measures taken at Khazar University and the importance of ensuring academic integrity in our country in order to raise up a society of conscientious citizens.
