Staff members of the Department of Languages and Literatures, PhD in Philology Nargiz Karimova and Fargana Alasgarli, participated on February 4, 2026, at 15:30 in the event titled “Towards Spring with the Year of the Dragon: China-Azerbaijan Unity,” organized by the Confucius Institute at Baku State University. The event was officially opened with the traditional red dragon dance, Loong, which is regarded by the Chinese as a symbol of success, abundance, and strength.

Within the framework of the event, students and teachers of the Confucius Institute performed various dances and presentations. At the end, a gift lottery was held for the participants, and a commemorative photo was taken.
