According to the latest edition of the Nature Index rankings, Khazar University has been positioned as the leading research university in Azerbaijan.

Nature Index is a well-known international database that presents rankings based on research articles published in 145 high-quality natural and medical science journals selected for their academic reputation and research impact. The ranking is determined using two indicators: the number of articles and the share of authorship contribution. The Nature Index ranking is widely used to assess institutional scientific performance, as it reflects both research productivity and research collaboration.

Khazar University ranked first among higher education institutions in Azerbaijan with 56 research articles and an authorship Share of 7.39. This result confirms that Khazar University holds the top position in Azerbaijan in terms of research output across the scientific fields covered by the Nature Index.

The University’s ranking position is mainly driven by research conducted in physics, astronomy, particle physics, high-energy physics, and classical physics. In these fields, Khazar University’s research collaborations involve institutions in China, Pakistan, and countries of the Middle East.
