An educational event on the topic of "Measures to Combat Drug Addiction and Dependency" was held on January 15, 2026, organized by the Executive Authority of Nizami District of Baku City against the backdrop of the fight against drug addiction. Employees of various institutions of the district participated in the event.

At the beginning of the event, employees of the Nizami District Executive Authority expressed their views on substance use and drug addiction. During the continuation of the event, Mirsadiq Mukhtarov, staff member of the Department of Psychology at Khazar University and psychologist at the Khazar Psychological Service Center, delivered a presentation addressing the topics of behavioral and substance dependency, and explained in detail the effects of these problems on a person's biological, psychological, and social life. He provided the event participants with extensive information about the causes of addiction, prevention methods, and modern approaches applied in this field.

At the end of the event, an exchange of views on the topic was conducted and questions were answered.
