Khazar University Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors and Trustees, Prof. Acad. Hamlet Isakhanli, and Director of Public Relations and Media Alovsat Amirbayli paid an official visit to Ankara on January 6–8, 2026.

The first meeting was held on January 6 at Ankara Music and Fine Arts University with Rector Prof. Erhan Özden. H. Isakhanli and E. Özden emphasized the importance of expanding relations between the universities of the two brotherly countries. A memorandum of understanding was signed between Khazar University and Ankara Music and Fine Arts University.

On January 6, the delegation met with Deputy Secretary General of TÜRKSOY Sait Yusuf. S. Yusuf briefed the guests on the organization and its future plans.

On the same day, the Rector of Ankara Social Sciences University (ASBU), Prof. Musa Arıcan, warmly welcomed the guests from Khazar University, provided detailed information about the university, and a memorandum of understanding was signed between the two universities.

The meeting was attended by Education Counselor of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Türkiye Assoc. Prof. Najiba Nasibova, TÜRKSOY Department Head Dr. Barış Cavid Mövsümlü, General Director of Yentek Taşdemir Model Tasarım Ali Taşdemir, and members of the university administration.
M. Arıcan introduced the guests to ASBU, followed by a reception.

On January 7, the delegation met with President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Türkiye Kadir Özkaya and Court member Yılmaz Akçil. During the meeting, held with the participation of Assoc. Prof. Najiba Nasibova, Kadir Özkaya provided detailed information about the Constitutional Court. Hamlet Isakhanli spoke about Khazar University’s achievements in recent years and invited Kadir Özkaya to Baku, to Khazar University. The guests also visited the Court’s historical museum.

On January 7, the Khazar University delegation was received by the Rector of Hacettepe University, Prof. Mehmet Cahit Güran. Hamlet Isakhanli spoke about the achievements of Khazar University. An agreement was reached on cooperation between the two universities in the coming years, and Prof. Mehmet Güran emphasized the necessity of establishing broader ties.

On January 8, the delegation met with the Rector of Gazi University, Prof. Uğur Ünal. During the meeting, Hamlet Isakhanli expressed his satisfaction with the cooperation with Gazi University and noted that more joint initiatives would be undertaken in the future.
U. Ünal also highly appreciated the cooperation with Khazar University and presented his new books to H. Isakhanli. The meeting was attended by Assoc. Prof. Najiba Nasibova.

On January 8, at the invitation of the Rector of Ankara University, Prof. Necdat Ünivar, the delegation visited the university as guests. Welcoming the guests warmly, Necdat Ünivar provided detailed information about the university. Hamlet Isakhanli expressed his deep gratitude to Rector Necdat Ünivar for the invitation. During the meeting, the importance of further expanding relations between the two universities was emphasized. Assoc. Prof. Najiba Nasibova attended the meeting.

A reception was hosted by the Rector in honor of the guests. The reception was attended by Ankara University Vice Rectors Prof. Gülnur Göllü Bahadır and Prof. Hatice Bakkaloğlu, Professor of the Faculty of Pharmacy Tansel Çomoğlu, and other participants.

The importance of further expanding relations between the two universities was emphasized. The meeting was attended by Assoc. Prof. Najiba Nasibova.

During the meetings held in Ankara, gifts were exchanged and commemorative photographs were taken.
