Scientific Article by Assoc. Prof. Telman Nusratoglu, Head of the Department of History and Archaeology, Published in International Collection

An article titled "Nomadic Culture in Azerbaijan: The Case of National Yaylak Festival," authored by the Department Head, has been published as a book chapter (pp. 154-168) in the scholarly book "Integration of Nomadic Tribes and Sedentary People in the History of Inner Asia" (Istanbul, 2025), prepared by Istanbul University.

The article provides a scholarly analysis of the historical development of nomadic culture in Azerbaijan, the socio-cultural essence of yaylak traditions, and the contemporary preservation of this heritage through the example of the National Yaylak Festival. The article holds significant importance for the study and promotion of Azerbaijani cultural heritage and the research of nomadic identity and sociology, which constitutes one of the essential characteristics of common Turkic culture.
