On December 18, 2025, master's students of the Department of Economics and Management at Khazar University's School of Economics and Management defended their dissertations on the following topics: Lala Balajayeva - Analysis of the problems of digital banking regulation in the modern era (Scientific supervisor: Ph.D. in Economics Sara Huseynova); Nurkishiyeva Aysel - The effect of Foreign Direct Investment on Small and Medium Enterprises: the case of Eastern Europe (Scientific supervisor: Ph.D. in Economics Rashad Huseynov); Javid Ibrahimli - Assessment of investment appraisal process in Agricultural projects and its profitability (Scientific supervisor: Ph.D. in Economics Sara Huseynova); Parvin Hashimova - Optimizing the Efficiency of Social Security Financing Mechanisms in Azerbaijan's Social Protection System (Scientific supervisor: Doctor of Economics Elchin Suleymanov). The defense was attended by the chairman of the defense committee, Associate Professor Azer Mehdiyev, Ph.D. in Economics, and members: Professor Ingilab Ahmadov, Doctor of Economics; Deputy Dean of the School of Economics and Management Dr. Mohammad Cherkesov; coordinator of the Department of Economics and Management Polad Orujov; and coordinator of the School of Economics and Management Gulnar Chalabiyeva.

The dissertations were evaluated positively by the Defense Committee.
