Articles by a doctoral student from the Department of Political Science and Philosophy

Apisada Somchai Laowattanabhongse, a doctoral student in the Department of Political Science and Philosophy at Khazar University, published her articles titled "The Soft Power Practices of the USA and China in Central Asia: A Comparative Analysis of Strategies, Challenges, and Opportunities" on July 10, 2025, and "Exploring the Role of Soft Power in Contemporary International Politics: Opportunities and Challenges" on August 10, 2025, in the Journal of Tianjin University Science and Technology. (2025, Volume 58, No. 7, Pages 103-113 and 2025, Volume 58, No. 8, Pages 80-87) It should be noted that the "Journal of Tianjin University Science and Technology" is a Q2 quarterly journal included in the Scopus scientometric database and is published by Tianjin University.

The first study examines and compares the soft power strategies of the United States and China in Central Asia using a qualitative narrative approach. In the second article, the author explores the multifaceted role of soft power in contemporary international politics, focusing on its applications, opportunities, and challenges.
