At the meeting of the Bar Association Presidium held on November 25, a decision was made to appoint Khazar University legal scholar Akif Alizade as a member of the Lawyers' Qualification Commission.
It should be noted that the Lawyers' Qualification Commission was established to determine candidates for the bar's compliance with the requirements stipulated in the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Lawyers and Legal Practice" dated December 28, 1999, and to assess their professional qualifications. Its composition includes five lawyers, three judges, and three legal scholars. The Lawyers' Qualification Commission organizes test examinations in coordination with the Bar Association Presidium and conducts interviews with candidates for the bar in order to determine their professional suitability and worthiness for the legal profession.
