Khazar University Admitted as Member of TURKUNIB

On October 15, 2025, the 8th meeting of the General Assembly of TURKUNIB (Turkish Universities Alliance uniting higher education institutions of member countries of the Organization of Turkic States) was held in Tashkent, the Republic of Uzbekistan, hosted by Tashkent International University.

The international event was attended by rectors and leadership teams of more than 70 universities operating in Turkic states.

At the 8th meeting of the Assembly, a total of 62 higher education institutions, including 13 universities from Azerbaijan, were admitted as new members of TURKUNIB. Khazar University is among the higher education institutions admitted from Azerbaijan.

During the General Assembly session, the establishment of a permanent secretariat of TURKUNIB and the ORHUN exchange program fund was proposed.

Within the framework of the event, cooperation opportunities were discussed in the areas of harmonizing programs in science and education among member universities, increasing student and faculty exchanges, as well as organizing joint academic activities, projects and conferences, and holding competitions in the fields of culture, science and sports.
