On September 30, 2025, Associate Professor Orkhan Valiyev, Head of the Department of Political Science and Philosophy at Khazar University, published an article titled "Washington Meeting: One Step Closer to Peace" on Fuyuzat.az.

Assoc. Prof. Valiyev analyzes the historical roots of the Karabakh conflict and the steps taken towards peace in the modern stage. He emphasizes that Azerbaijan has restored historical justice, ensured its territorial integrity, and taken on an initiative role for peace in the region. The author evaluates the Washington Summit as a diplomatic victory in this process and interprets it in the context of the changing global role of the United States, as well as the new geopolitical approaches of the Trump administration.
