On September 15, 2025, the opening ceremony of the new academic year took place at Khazar University. The event was attended by the university administration, faculty deans, department heads and staff, newly admitted students, and parents.

The event began with the performance of the National Anthem of Azerbaijan. Khazar University founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors and Trustees Prof. Acad. Hamlet Isakhanli, Rector Dr. Raziya Isayeva, Acting Dean of the School of Economics and Management Dr. Khanim Omeroglu, Rector's Advisor for Khazar University at the School of Veterinary Medicine Hasvet Prof. Dr. Tamer Dodurkaya, Dean of the School of Veterinary Medicine Hasvet Chichek Aliyeva, Dean of the School of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences Dr. Milana Abbasova, and Dean of the School of Science and Engineering Dr. Fakhranda Afandiyeva delivered speeches, congratulating first-year students and wishing them successful academic years. The speeches provided information about the university's educational facilities, its position in international rankings, and the teaching staff.

Hokuma Karimova, a 2009 graduate of Khazar University, spoke about the knowledge and experience gained during her academic years thanks to the dedicated work of teachers and shared her recommendations with the students.

Rector Raziya Isayeva presented gifts to the children of martyrs who were admitted to the university.

The opening ceremony was accompanied by a concert program prepared by the university's Music and Arts Department.

Finally, students were invited to the auditoriums and the event dedicated to the new academic year concluded.
