An article titled "Patrick Süskind: 'Perfume' and Jean-Baptiste Grenouille" by Dr. Sevinj Gambarova, Coordinator of the Languages Division at the Department of Languages and Literature of Khazar University, has been published in the "Teaching of Azerbaijani Language and Literature" journal, which is a scientific-methodical publication of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan (2025, volume 71, issue 3). The journal is indexed in numerous international scientific databases (ERIH PLUS, Index Copernicus, MIAR, ROAD, LIBRIS, Stockholm University Library, etc.) and is included in the list of scientific publications recommended by the Higher Attestation Commission.
The purpose of the explanations about Patrick Süskind, the author of the novel "Perfume," the plot line, and the characters in the article is to enable readers to better comprehend and feel the work. Where appropriate, life events and characters in the work are compared with other works and characters from Azerbaijani and world literature.
