On December 23, 2023, an international scientific conference titled "AZLING 2023 - Azerbaijani language and modern linguistics: problems, perspectives, and challenges" took place in the Neftchala district, organized by the "Regional Development" Public Union and Neftchala district Heydar Aliyev Center.

Commemorating the 100th anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, the conference, initiated by linguist scientists from Neftchala, featured presentations from 85 scholars representing various Azerbaijani higher education and science institutions, along with participants from various international universities, addressing current linguistic issues.

Notable contributions at the conference included presentations by Dr. Elvin Abbasbeyli, the coordinator of the Khazar University Center of Translation and Interpretation (CTI), as well as members of the University’s Department of Languages and Literatures - PhDs in Philology Reyhan Madatova, Ilkin Askerov, Rasim Heydarov, Zamina Ziyayeva, Sevinj Gambarova, and lecturer Mansura Ahmadova. Additionally, graduate students delivered their reports. The conference concluded with the participants receiving international certificates.
