On April 2, Khazar University hosted a French Language Festival within the framework of Francophonie Week. The event, organized by the lecturer of the Department of Languages and Literature Fatma Agayeva, was opened by the head of the department, associate professor Dilbar Zeynalova. He stressed that cultural diversity is a fundamental principle of Khazar University, and noted the invaluable role of such events in the integration of cultures.
Jerome Kel, Counselor for Cultural Cooperation and Activities at the French Embassy in Azerbaijan, and Ingrid Ponsy, Cultural Affairs Officer, praised Khazar University's interest in the French language and wished further cooperation.
University students Khalid Heydarov, Samrin Huseynli, Sima Rahimova, Shafag Gasimova, Gunel Ojagverdiyeva, Jala Valiyeva and Musa Niftali made speech in French. Ingrid Ponsy awarded the winners of the French language competition.
At the end of the event, the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences, Associate Professor Elza Samadova thanked the guests and wished the students new success.
