On January 2020, a ceremony of awarding certificates to students who successfully completed the “Business Education for Engineers” Program, implemented with the participation and financial support of BP Azerbaijan and Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS), aimed at supporting the advancement of students studying engineering at local universities, was held at BHOS. The event was attended by the Rectors, Vice-Rectors and Deans of UFAZ, Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University, BSU, AzTU Universities.
220 students applied for this module of the program that occurred from November 2019 to January 2020. 78 students from nine universities successfully completed the program and received a certificate. Imtiaz Ahmed, an international student from the School of Science and Engineering at Khazar University (Oil and Gas Engineering, 1st year master's student) became the only international student who has been selected, and he completed the project. The certificates were presented to him by Elmar Gasimov, Rector of BHOS.
Furthermore, Imtiaz Ahmed in his brief speech expressed his gratitude to the BP and BHOS administration for providing this opportunity, that helped him to gain crucial business skills under-skilled Trainers associated with BP Azerbaijan.
