On February 7, 2020, a seminar on “Laboratory Biosafety Classification and Biosafety and Biosecurity Measures in Laboratories” was held for PhD students and senior students majoring in biology, chemistry-biology, from Khazar University Department of Life Sciences. During the event, Konul Guliyeva, biosecurity trainer of laboratories operating in the US within the US Biological Threat Reduction Program, delivered talk on “The Biosafety and Biosecurity Measures in the Laboratory”, whereas Shalale Zeynalova, Director of BSL-3 Laboratory of Azerbaijan Scientific Research Veterinary Institute, talked about “Laboratory Biosafety Classification”. Instructors demonstrated the use of personal protective equipment in a visual manner, demonstrating their use in biological hazards.
