On April 5, 2017, Ambassador of Colombia Mrs. Marta Galindo Pena visited Khazar University and met with the Rector, Dr. Hassan Niknafs, Director of the International Affairs Office Turan Jafarova, and Coordinator Gunay Farzaliyeva. The meeting was organized by the International Affairs Office and took place in the Neftchilar campus of the University.

Rector of Khazar University, Dr. Hassan Niknafs expressed a strong interest in close collaboration with the Embassy of Colombia and universities in Colombia. He also stressed that Khazar University was very interested in accepting students from Colombia to programs offered by Khazar University to international degree-seeking students.

Ms. Turan Jafarova, Director of the International Affairs Office, provided information about the admission for the 2017-2018 academic year and presented promotional materials of Khazar University to the Ambassador.

The ambassador presented a book by the prominent Colombian novelist and Nobel Prize winner Gabriel Garcia Marquez to the rector.

Admission and the Khazar University International Scholarship Program are now open to nationals of all countries for potential students, both graduate (Master and PhD) and undergraduate (Bachelor), at all four schools of the university. The deadline for applications is April 15, 2017.
