On February 18, 2017, the final match of the university-wide football championship organized by Khazar University Student Union took place. The championship started as a competition of ten teams. As two of the teams never participated in the matches, eight teams were competing for the championship trophy.

“Panzer” and “International stars” played the final match on February 18. The match ended with a score of 4-1 – “Panzer” became the champion of the 2016/17 academic year.
