On January 20, 2017, a group of Khazar students and staff members visited Şəhidlər Xiyabanı, the memorial monument of the victims of Black January, to commemorate the victims on the 27^th anniversary of the massacre. They laid flowers at the monument and prayed for those who lost their lives on January 20, 1990.
