On December 26, 2016, an end-of-semester concert/examination was held in the World Concert Hall of Khazar University under the artistic direction of Associate Professor Zulfiyya Sadigova, Head of the Department of Music and Fine Arts. The event was entitled “Leyli Majnun and Love.” 

The performance featured a choir of first-year students (instructor Mehseti Jabbarova), girls’ and boys’ dance ensembles (instructor Meritorious Artist Telman Aliyev), and vocalists. The event also included other universities’ student winners from the “Student Spring” International Youth Arts Festifal which was held in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ministry of Education (including Azerbaijan State Economics University, Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction, Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts, and Baku Choreography Academy). 

The director and producer of the event was Sabina Ismayilova, Khazar University instructor, and the script writers were Jeyhun Huseynli and Vusal Najafov, Festival winners from the Economics University. The soundtrack included musical works by Uzeyir Hajibeyli, Suleyman Alasgarov and Javanshir Guliyev. 

After the performance, positive evaluations were given by Professor Hamlet Isaxanli, the founder of Khazar University and Chairman of its Board of Directors and Trustees; People’s Artist Nureddin Mehdikhanli; and Meritorious Artist Nijan Kazimov.
