On December 22, 2016, Professor Hamlet Isaxanli, the founder of Khazar University and Chairman of its Board of Directors and Trustees, visited Middle East Technical University (METU) in Turkey and met with the Rector, Professor Mustafa Verşan Kök. During the meeting, Prof. Isaxanli presented information about Khazar University and gave the Rector a university gift. 

The two administrators also discussed the importance of continuing to develop the relationship between Khazar University and METU. Prof. Kök thanked Prof. Isaxanli for the visit and gave him a gift on behalf of METU.
