On November 28-December 2, 2016, a Staff Training Week was held at Middlesex University in London, within the Erasmus + Programme. 

Participants from Khazar University included Turan Jafarova, Director of the International Affairs Office and Rima Mammadova, Project Coordinator. While at Middlesex, Khazar staff members also met with a PhD candidate of the University who is currently doing an exchange semester in the UK within the Erasmus + programme.

Topics covered by the training included student and staff mobility, staff development, student employability skills, capacity building projects, recognition and accreditation in higher education, and others. Staff Training Week also included a "Go Abroad Fair" which provided an opportunity to present Khazar University to the students and staff of Middlesex University.

The Staff Training Week brought together around 50 participants from higher education institutions of more than 15 countries for networking and best practices sharing.
