On November 28, 2016, the first event was held as part of the Science Party project, which is organized with the support of the Youth Foundation of the President of the Azerbaijan Republic and partnership of Khazar University. The event was held in the Archeology Museum in Icherisheher run by the Exposition Division of the Archeology and Ethnography Institute of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences. The event was meant to introduce university students to the Science Party project, which will involve student teams from various universities in a competition. Orkhan Zamanov, the project manager and employee of the ANAS Archology and Ethnography Institute, gave brief information about the project and then passed the floor to Parviz Gasimov, project coordinator.
Parviz Gasimov, project coordinator and employee of the ANAS Archology and Ethnography Institute, gave background information about the project’s main objectives. Then he led participants on a tour of exhibits showing Azerbaijan’s archeological heritage in the Archeology Museum. He gave them detailed information about the role of archeological materials in the study of the history of Azerbaijan’s ancient people, new archeological research, analytical methods, and more.
After the tour, participants were given information about the semifinal and final rounds of the Science Party project.
