On November 28, the Khazar University News Group held a meeting with volunteer students from the School of Engineering and Applied Science, School of Economics and Management, and School of Humanities and Social Sciences about a Student Journalists’ Team that is being formed.

The meeting was opened by Honored Journalist Alirza Balayev, deputy editor of Khazar Review magazine and head of the Khazar News Group, who explained that the Student Journalists’ Team is being formed upon the recommendation of the university administration and its objective is to increase the efficiency of university news reporting on internal events.

Other participants in the meeting included Jabir Mammadov, Chair of the Journalism Department; Martha Lawry, English Editor for the Khazar Review journal; and Alik Alioghlu, Director of the Electronic Media Center; who are all members of the Khazar News Group. They gave students information about the work principles of the group and decided to hold a training for student team members.

At the end of the event, related documents were distributed to the students and their questions were answered.
