On November 25, Khayala Mammadova, Khazar University PhD student, defended her dissertation on “Gender Aspects in Sociocultural Development in the Azerbaijani Society” before the Dissertation Council in affiliation with the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences’ Philosophy Institute.
Professor Ilham Mammadzadeh, Director of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences’ Philosophy Institute, chaired the defense, which included a presentation by Khayala Mammadova and then a question-and-answer session.
The council and official opponents discussed the dissertation and its reviews as well as the articles that Mammadova has published in local and international scholarly journals and her other works. Taking into account the requirements of the Higher Attestation Commission of the President of the Azerbaijan Republic, they recommended Khayala Mammadova for a doctor of philosophy degree in Social Philosophy.
