Legends of Two Cities Event at Khazar University

On November 18, 2016 at 12:00, an event entitled “Legends of Two Cities” took place at Khazar University. Library and Information Center staff members Saida Orujova (China Corner project manager) and Esmira Mehdiyeva (coordinator) are the event coordinators. Participants in the event included instructors from Baku State University’s affiliated Confucius Institute, Khazar University students learning Chinese, and other guests. During the event, Confucius Institute instructors gave the audience information about the history and culture of Beijing, national foods, the Beijing Opera, and other tourist attractions. In turn, Khazar University students made presentations about Baku’s Old City, Maiden’s Tower, newly-constructed buildings, and museums. Then Chinese and Azerbaijani national clothing styles were shown. Chinese language teachers wrote the names of participants in calligraphy as gifts.
