On November 1, 2016, Mr. Tal Catran, an Accelerators Guru and Startups Builder, visited Khazar University to speak with faculty and staff members about Israel’s experience with startups. He pointed out the reasons behind Israel's start-up success and shared his ideas on how to build a thriving startup ecosystem.

The guest was also informed about the Technopark and other ideas for innovation at Khazar University. The meeting was attended by Dr. Mukhtar Hajizada, Chair of the Department of Political Science and International Relations; Mrs. Raziya Isayeva, Development Director; Dr. Ingilab Ahmadov, Dean of the School of Economics and Management; Dr. Jeyhun Mammadov, Chair of the Department of Economics and Management; and Assoc. Prof. Gasham Zeynalov, Chair of the Department of Petroleum Engineering; as well as Mrs. Lina Michaeli from the Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) and Mr. Amir Rom from the Embassy of Israel in Baku.
