On October 23, 2016, Khazar University’s affiliate Dunya School celebrated with an event called “Fall Holiday.” The event was opened with the song “Golden Fall,” written by Sevinj Sultanova, director of the music group.
Pupils of the Azerbaijani and Russian sectors participating in the event learned about the colors of fall, characteristics of this season’s fruits and vegetables and their nutritional value for physical development.
The stage was decorated with fall characters such as Fall Girl, Raindrop, fruits and flowers. The event included poems in Azerbaijani and Russian, a dance of fruits and vegetables, and medical advice from a small “doctor.”
Meanwhile, the English sector students celebrated Halloween (as “Pumpkin Holiday”). They lit jack-o’-lanterns and decorated the stage with them.
Students also performed skits demonstrating the coming of winter, a winter forest, and the cold. They dressed up as animals and gave interesting performances. They recited poems in English and performed dances choreographed by Gizilgul Alimammadova.
