On October 19, 2016, a meeting with representatives of the International School of Business and Management – Lyon and USA (CEFAM) was held on the Neftchiler campus of Khazar University.

The meeting was a follow-up on collaboration that started at the end of the last academic year. The first meeting with CEFAM took place on June 2, 2016.  

At the follow-up meeting, CEFAM was represented by Valida Mechri, International Development and Project Manager at Groupe IGS Lyon, and Kathryn Guillot, Academic Specialist at CEFAM. Participants from Khazar University included Dr. Ingilab Ahmadov, Dean of the School of Economics and Management, Dr. Jeyhun Mammadov, Head of the Department of Economics and Management, and Ms. Turan Jafarova, Director of the International Affairs Office.

Topics discussed during the meeting included possible means of future academic collaboration. Specific attention was given to partnering within the Erasmus Plus programme as well as to direct exchange of students and staff between the two universities. A memorandum of understanding will soon be signed between CEFAM and Khazar University.

Following the meeting, a presentation of CEFAM to students of Khazar University will be held on October 20, 2016 on the university’s Neftchiler campus.
