Khazar University is a grant holder of the ERASMUS Plus Key Action 2 - Capacity Building in Higher Education. The project on Promoting Excellence in Teaching and Learning in Azerbaijani Universities (PETRA) involves 14 partners from Azerbaijan and Europe with the aim to promote teaching and learning excellence in Azerbaijan. Specific objectives are (1) Building Capacity for Developing Teaching and Learning Process to meet pedagogical and technological needs and (2) Improving and Providing Quality Teaching and Learning through innovative technology, promoting research, improving active learning, and establishing long-term partnerships with European universities.

The three-year project is designed and developed with close participation of 9 partners from Azerbaijan and 5 partners from Europe and it has been granted 908.623,00 Euros.

The project’s direct beneficiaries are PhD students, researchers and other members of academic staff.
