On June 28, 2016, Team of Khazar University comprised of students from the School of Economics and Managementrepresented Azerbaijan in the annual P2P: Challenging Extremism program.

Only top three teams were selected from among over 110 universities from around the world participating in this global competition countering extremism. This initiative is a collaborated effort of the U.S. Department of State and EdVentures Partners. 

Top three teams presented their campaigns to a panel of judges from the U.S. Department of State. The final ranking of the top teams is as follows:

1st place - Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester, NY, U.S.

2nd place - Vesalius College, Brussels, Belgium

3rd place - Khazar University, Baku, Azerbaijan

Following the completion of the competition, the team is now attending a 10-day International Visitors Leadership Program sponsored by the U.S. Department of State.
