On June 3, 2016, a routine meeting of the Khazar University Academic Council was held under the chairmanship of President Hasan Niknafs. Items on the agenda that were heard and decided included: report on graduation by deans Hasan Niknafs, Ingilab Ahmadov, Jabir Khalilov and Elza Samadova; doctorate students’ research proposals and approval by academic advisers; and report by Dr. Eldar Shahgaldiyev, Head of the Division for Graduate Students and Research, on Department of Languages and Civilizations instructor Ziver Huseynova’s selection for associate professor.

Other issues that were heard and tabled for further discussion included a report by Student Union President Gurban Asgarov and Deputy Tarlan Mammadli as well as recommendations about university life by Dr. Mukhtar Hajizada, Head of the Department of Political Science and International Relations.
