Writer Meets with Students

On May 6, 2016, detective novelist Mushfig Khan held a meeting with students at Khazar University. The event was opened by Alovsat Amirbeyli, Director for Public Relations and Media, who greeted the guest as well as student and faculty participants. He noted the benefits of hosting such events at Khazar and said he hoped that similar events will be held in the future.

Mushfig Khan greeted the audience and told them about the art of writing. He said he was happy that young people are becoming more and more interested in literature. Then he explained the detective genre in detail.

Then the author answered students’ and faculty members’ questions. They asked about the history of the detective genre, its establishment, and when this genre became popular in Azerbaijan. Firangiz Nasirova, Senior Instructor of the Department of English Language and Literature, asked about issues related to the recognition of authors and their works in our literature.

During the second part of the event, the author signed books. Then he thanked the university administration and students for organizing and participating in the event.
