Valida Karimova, PhD student in Linguistics and Research Assistant for the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, and Lamiya Hajili, Master’s student in Monitoring and Evaluation in Education, participated in the "IV International Scientific Conference of Young Researchers" which was held on April 29, 2016 at Qafqaz University. The objective of the conference was to raise interest among young people in science, to bring together young researchers and scientists from various universities, centers, and institutions, and to create the opportunity for them to share their experiences with others, analyze the problems they face, discuss common problems and put forward proposals.

At the conference, Valida Karimova presented an article on “Linguistic Nature of Metaphor,” and Lamiya Hajili presented “Ənənəvi və Müasir Anlamda Təhsil” (Education in Traditional and Modern Views). At the end of the conference, the participants awarded with certificates and two- volume books of conference materials.
