On December 28, 2020, Azerbaijan State Economic University (UNEC) held an online meeting via ZOOM platform regarding the university libraries digital development during the coronavirus pandemic.
42 participants from leading universities of Baku, including Baku State University, ADA University, Baku Higher Oil School University, etc. took part in this online Round Table.
Khazar University LIC Director, Dr Zayseva participated in online discussion with a presentation entitled” “Khazar University Resources and Services: COVOD-19”
The purpose of this presentation was to share the experience of a university library in response to the COVID-19 pandemic since early March 2020. The presentation describes the library’s position during the crisis and illustrates the uncharted challenges that the pandemic has posed to its digital services. Furthermore, it details how the library has adapted some existing services into a digital format and explored new initiatives/practices to support the Khazar university’s full online teaching and learning.
Till today, there are no systematic evaluations on the changes in the digital delivery in the libraries but webinar participants talked about how we can analyse the changes in library services giving some recent examples from the library sectors of the Baku universities.
