On December 23, 2020, a virtual interactive class on “Hun mounds and archeology” was held for first- and second-year students majoring in history teaching, at the initiative of Orkhan Zamanov, a lecturer in the Department of History and Archeology at Khazar University. In the virtual class, staff member of Department, Dr. Telman Nusratoglu, assistant of Department, Kamala Mustafayeva, and head of the department of the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography of ANAS, Dr. Parviz Gasimov took part.
The material and spiritual culture created by the Turkic people, their writing traditions and problems of study were touched upon during the interactive class. Telman Nusratoglu gave detailed information on the ancient written sources of the Turkic people. The information on the ancient Hun mounds, as well as the mounds found in the territory of Azerbaijan, provided by Parviz Gasimov, an expert on the archeology of mounds, aroused special interest of students. At the end, students' questions were answered.
