On October 21-23, Gazi University hosted the “12th International Turkish Language Symposium” dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the opening of the Turkish Grand National Assembly. The symposium was joined by Dr. Zamina Ziyayeva, faculty member of Khazar University Department of Languages and Literature.
It is worth mentioning that all meeting halls of the symposium were named after the cities of Azerbaijan. Speaking at the opening and closing ceremonies of the symposium, Turkologists and linguists also touched upon the current situation in Azerbaijan and informed the participants from many countries around the world.
Dr. Zamina Ziyayeva delivered a report at the symposium entitled “Two Crimean Turks in the Cultural Life of Baku: Hasan Sabri Ayvazov - Bekir Sitki Chobanzade and Literary Language Meetings", and was appointed chairman of one of the meetings held in the Khojaly Hall.
