The libretto of the “Taj Mahal” ballet has been published by Khazar University Press in Azerbaijani, Russian and English languages. The author of the libretto of the three-act ballet is Professor Hamlet Isakhanli, the Founder of Khazar University, writer, poet, translator and scholar in the field of Mathematics, Mathematical Physics, and Humanities is Jeyhun Allahverdiyev, Professor of composition at the Baku Music Academy named after Uzeyir Hajibeyli, Honored Art Worker.
The ballet is about the life of Jahan Shah and his wife Mumtaz Mahal, one of the famous rulers of the Great Mughal Empire. The libretto bears the name of the Taj Mahal monument, built by Jahan Shah for Mumtaz Mahal and later became famous as one of the pearls of world architecture.
The booklet of the libretto also includes short biographies of the libretto’s author and its composer in Azerbaijani, Russian and English. It is noted that Professor Hamlet Isakhanli is known as an encyclopedic scholar and polymath and the works of Jeyhun Allahverdiyev have been performed in a number of countries around the world.
