On February 28, 2020, the Student Science Conference on “Humanities: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow”, dedicated to the birthday of Professor Hamlet Isakhanli, the Founder of Khazar University and Chairman of its Board of Directors and Trustees, began its work.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Professor Isakhanli noted the effective impact of students' involvement in scientific work on improving the quality of teaching and training of highly qualified specialists, as well as called it as a great opportunity for students from different universities of the Republic to come together and exchange ideas with each other. He noted that today's young researchers are the bright future and potential for Azerbaijani science in the future, and highly appreciated the students' interest in scientific research.
Then, Associate Professor Irada Khalilova, the Rector of the University, Associate Professor Elza Samedova, Dean of the School of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences, while delivering speeches, spoke about the importance of conducting scientific conferences aimed at the training of students as good specialists, practical implementation of youth research, positively influencing the formation of their research skills and habits.
After the opening ceremony, the conference continued its work in sections. Students in 4 sections presented 65 theses on various topics. The Conference was attended by Khazar University students, as well as students from various education hotbeds in Azerbaijan, including higher education institutions in the regions. Young researchers who presented interesting theses at the Student Scientific Conference were awarded with letters of gratitude from Khazar University leadership.
The Conference concluded its work with an artistic piece composed of poems and lyrics by Professor Hamlet Isakhanli, a great educator, talented poet-publicist, education founder, and performed by Khazar University teachers and students.
